The Groovinators
The Groovinators - a new act at O'Neill's in 2024, albeit made up in part by some regular faces. The songs here are different in that, apart from being a variation on 'trusted favourites', they delve into funky. Fronted by Khayafhaya, and his shirt, who is not a novice, he does work the crowd and the keyboards provide an additional dimension that you don't often see at Wardour Street. Support comes from Michael Bryan-Harris (Counterflow) on lead guitar along with a select lineup on drums, notably Charlie Taverner, also of Counterflow or Don Vincenzo of Part Time Saints.
Lead Vocals & Keyboards - Khayafhaya. The only artist in this website to be upstaged by his own shirt. Geezer is not a novice, works the crowd and the keyboards provide a dimension not often seen at Wardour Street. CBR doesn't wish to label the point, but when cover charges apply admission is reduced if Khayafhaya isn't wearing this shirt.
Lead Guitar - Michael Bryan-Harris
Michael is also resident lead with Counterflow. Seen here looking more swarthy than usual.
Bass Player - Guilherme Aguiar. Employed primarily for the purpose of playing bass guitar.......... (?).
Drummer - Don Vincenzo.
